Party Hardy Margarita

Posted on 26 April 2018

It’s almost Cinco de Mayo and what better way to celebrate than with amazing health-conscious (...is that possible while adding alcohol??) cocktails to celebrate! Pair this with your favorite taco or pico and chips and you’ll be wishing you were in Mexico! For me, margaritas can be heavy with all the processed and sugary mixers that are added. They are also a LOT of calories, but with this fresh twist on a marg, I don’t think I’ll make a margarita any other way!

First, head to your nearest grocery store or farmers market! Most of the ingredients are fresh which makes this cocktail super delicious.

Party Hardy Margarita
Servings: 2
1 Party Hardy Cocktail Shaker Set
1 orange
2-3 limes
1 can of sparkling lime seltzer (I used the brand Bubly)
2 shots of silver tequila
2 glasses
salt to rim (optional)
straws (optional) *save the planet by using PAPER straws :)

1. Start by muddling one lime. This should get you about 1/4 cup of juice.

2. Squeeze 1 full orange for about 1 cup of juice.

3. Pour 2 shots of tequila in the top of your Party Hardy Cocktail Shaker (count 1, 2 for each shot - no need for shot glasses).

4. Pour ice into your cocktail shaker. Fill about 3/4. (Don’t forget to add your pink diamond ice cubes for a little color while you shake!)

5.  Pour the orange and lime juice into the shaker as well as your 2 - or 3 ;) - shots of tequila. Do NOT add the sparking seltzer just yet!

6. Rim your glasses with a wedge of a lime and then salt each rim. (*tip: for a saltier cocktail, add some salt to the bottom of each glass!)

7. Add a handful of ice cubes to each glass.

8. Pour your freshly shaken cocktail into each glass. Fill each glass halfway. Top each glass with your sparkling seltzer.

9. Garnish with a wedge or wheel of lime and a straw.

10. Snap that Insta photo…then ENJOY!
